I am not one to write negative reviews but from the moment we arrived, it was not a good experience. We'd actually go out of our way to stay here again. WOW! It was filled with original art, carved headboards, and was large (as in large!) and bright. Mmm, I thought, maybe this'll turn out OK.

Sure the slot machines near the registration desk were making the noises they do, but there wasn't a hint of smoke. The resort was well off of Highway 1 and right on the Washington Coast. But then my monkey mind started replaying the other resort/casino places we'd stayed in our travels, remembering the cigarette smoke, the cacophony of the slot machines, their worn-down nature, and began to regret my decision. Ocean Shores seemed like as good of a place to stay as any and I booked the resort/casino without thinking. We had visited the National Park and were rounding south on Highway 1 along the coast. More Show lessīeing genuinely mystified by the ratings other visitors have given, I have to be forthright and tell you that our one-night stay here blew us away. Something you can not give a pass on and that is bad guest service.

Second day I get up coffee maker stopped working so I went downstairs by the bistro where the day before they had a large pot of coffee, it was completely empty, went up to the door person as there was no one at the desk, I asked where I could get some coffee, he said back by the bistro, I stated it was empty he said then there is none, I stated I was paying $209.00 a night for a room and cant even get coffee? He did not saying anything. We came back after a few hours and at 4:00pm our room still had not been cleaned, I called the front desk and ask about the housekeeping, was told they do not do overnight cleaning, so what did I need? I said clean towels and coffee, okay we will send it up. After first night we went up to Ocean Shores to find espresso drinks as when I asked at the desk what time the coffee stand open I was told maybe 7:30 if anyone shows up. This is a hotel, no way a resort, I understand Covid has wreck havoc on the service industry, but this was an unpleasant stay.
